Engineering
As outlined in the protocol, the Ukrainian team is in need of assistance, primarily due to the mobilisation of key experts or their unfortunate demise on the battlefield. Nevertheless, the necessity for immediate design is becoming increasingly apparent. The ongoing strenuous and stressful work is taking a toll on women engineers and architects, who are experiencing burnout. In light of the aforementioned circumstances, we propose extending support to the IZYUM recovery project in the realm of engineering. This would enable Ukrainian experts to align the project with Ukrainian legislation and establish it as a shared asset between the two countries and their twin cities. The project requires the development of several sections, including GP /General Plan/, AP /Architectural Part/, MC /Metal Construction/, CC /Concrete Construction/, E /Electricity/, WS /Water & Sewer/, HV /Heating & Ventilation/ , and other sections necessary for the implementation of a large-scale urban planning project.
IZYUM_recovery
First climate-neutral urban district in Ukraine
This project, co-funded by the European Union under a special call for proposals to support Ukrainian displaced persons and the Ukrainian cultural and creative sectors, is being developed in cooperation with LLC „ACC’PORTAL-21“ and StadtLandFluss following successful participation in the 2nd wave of international cooperation projects of ZMINA: Rebuilding.
ZMINA: Rebuilding represents the new program of the IZOLYATSIA Foundation, launched in cooperation with Trans Europe Halles (Sweden) and Malý Berlín (Slovakia).
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The sketch adaptation project of a residential district in the center of the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region, considering climatic, economic, and social changes based on the model of the „Climate Urban District“ in the city of Esslingen and the „French Quarter“ in the city of Tübingen, Germany.
OUR TASK
To create a sustainable adaptation strategy model for existing neighborhoods in emerging countries in the spirit of NEB – New European Bauhaus – a creative and interdisciplinary initiative that connects the European Green Deal with our living spaces and experiences.
